Catching the Light
Product Description
Join us on Saturday, July 18 from 10:00am - 1:00pm for a day of art in the mountains!
As summer settles into the alpine, the mountains come alive with shifting light, vibrant colours, and endless inspiration. Join us for an immersive painting workshop at the Hummingbird Lodge, where sweeping views of Ymir Peak and the surrounding landscape provide the perfect setting to explore the art of capturing light.
Guided by Rossland-based landscape artist Morgan Bialkowski, you'll learn techniques for observing and painting the way light moves across mountains, forests, and ridgelines to create depth, atmosphere, and mood. Inspired by the landscapes she explores throughout the Kootenays, Morgan will share her approach to translating the beauty of the outdoors onto canvas as you slow down, connect with the landscape, and bring your own unique perspective to life.
Registration for Catching the Light costs $70.00 and includes the following:
• 3 hours of expert instruction, demo, and assistance from Morgan Bialkowski
• All supplies required to create a finished painting including:
• Canvas
• Acrylic paint
• Brushes
• A relaxed and creative workshop experience
Come and experience the joy of painting in a stunning setting. Create, get inspired, and connect with your inner artist at the Hummingbird Lodge.
